This piece was inspired by my love for nature, evolution and mythology. I wanted to created a creature based on real life animals that itself doesn’t exist- instead it draws upon different versions of polymorphisms in a Frankenstein amalgamation. I envision this piece to expand into a series but I started off with a bird due to the countless species and feather variations. However the addition of a cheetah-like tail and foot has references of Greco-roman mythology echoing beasts like the chimera. Essentially this is a creature that is from my imagination, but given the right evolutionary circumstances, potentially could have existed.
